Content Trigger Times

The playlist has 3 items, the last one is under the loop – so this means that only 2 items should play and the 3rd one should not play because it’s outside the loop.
Let’s say we want the 3rd item to play at a specific time, specific duration and at what frequence…that is when we use the content trigger times: click on item to trigger – right click – time – and select “Content trigger times ”

When you set “Strict trigger time” – that item will only play at the exact time that is set, irrespective of what will be currently playing. So at exactly 10h00 the “Racing cars” item will play everyday. The steps to set this are as follows:

1. Click and right click the item to trigger
2. Set the trigger time
3. Set it to strict
4. Save by clicking done

Be sure to publish your screen.
So at exactly 10h00 the “Racing cars” item will play everyday then go back and play the list inside the loop. You don’t need to fill in other columns as this will only plays once.

For an item to play more than once at specified time and frequency, we use the slot in feature. The steps are as follows:

1. Click and right click the item to trigger
2. Set the trigger time
3. Set the end time
4. Set it to slot – this means that at 10h00 this item will play but it will wait for whatever is currently playing to finish, so it will not play at exactly specified time but only after what would be playing at 10h00 is done, then it will play.
5. Set the frequency – this is the frequency that the item should play, in our example it is set every 10 minutes
6. Click to save.

So, after the publish – the Racing cars should play from 10h00 (after what’s currently playing) every 10 minutes till 11h00 o’clock everyday.
