This guide provides step-by-step instructions for creating and configuring item sizes in a store template. It also explains how to create sizes, individual items for each size, a main item that holds all the sizes, and how to add the item to a menu. The guide is useful for anyone looking to set up and manage item sizes in their store configuration.



STORE ITEM SIZE

Tip: Below is an example of an item with sizes. This page is created with the "Store Item Sizes" template.

STORE ITEM SIZE TEMPLATE

1. Navigate to "Store Item Sizes" under "Store Templates" in the sidebar

2. Click "+ Add template"

3. Enter a name for your template. Ensure you enter a name you can eassly identify when adding the template to your store cofiguration.

4. Click " Save"

5. Click " Edit Layout Design" on the template you just created

6. Click on the layout icon to get elements related to this template

7. Click and drag one of the card lists from under "Item Size Layouts" onto the blank canvas.

8. Add a button to add the selected item to the cart by clicking and dragging the "Add to order" button found under the "Buttons" tab.

9. Add a Cancel button to cancel the item selection by clicking and dragging the "Cancel" button found under the "Buttons" tab on to the canvas.

ADD TEMPLATE TO STORE CONFIGURATION

10. Navigate to "Stores" under "Menu configurations" in the sidebar.

11. Click edit (button with pencil) on the relevant store.

12. Click on the drop down under "Store has item size template" and select the template created above.

13. Click " Save"

Tip: Note: This is a very basic design. You can add more functionality by adding more elements available in the design layout and customising each element on the canvas.

CREATE SIZES

14. Navigate to "Sizes" under "Menu configurations" in the sidebar

15. Click "+ Add size"

16. Enter the size name (Example "Small")

17. Click "Save"

Tip: Repeat this for all the desired size options

CREATE AN ITEM FOR EACH SIZE

Tip: In this example I create the below:

  • Small Fries
  • Medium Fries
  • Large Fries

We will later create a "Fries" item that will have sizes that link to these individual items with sizes.

18. Navigate to "Items" under "Menu configurations" in the sidebar

19. Click "+ Add item"

Alert: We are creating the items for each size now. In this example I have used "Small Fries". We will later create an item that will group these different sizes together.

20. Ensure you name your item with the size name included in order to easily identify it.

21. Ensure you select "No" for "Item has sizes"

22. Continue filling out the rest of the form

23. Click "Save"

CREATE MAIN ITEM

24. Click "+ Add Item"

Alert: We are now creating the item which will hold each items with sizes. In this example I have used "Fries" which will have each item we created earlier (Small Fries/Medium Fries/Large Fries)

25. Ensure you name your item with the size name included in order to easily identify it.

26. Select "Yes" for "Item has sizes"

27. Select dropdown under each desired size and select the item that was created for that size. (Example: Datapost Pizza Shop - Large Fries)

28. Repeat this for each desired size

29. Continue filling out the rest of the form

30. Click "Save"

ADD ITEM TO MENU

31. Navigate to "Menus" under "Menu configurations" in the sidebar.

32. Click " Edit" on the menu that you want to add the item to or you can click "Add Menu" to create a new one. (I am going to add my fries to my "Sides" menu)

33. Add the item to the "Menu has items" list.

34. Click "Save"

35. The sizes will appear similar to the below when the menu item is selected
